In Central Chile we recognize three biogeographical zones, so in a short distance we can find an interesting diversity of birds.  In this part of the country, as terrestrial ecosystems, we differentiate the Andes, and the Mediterranean Forest (with a shruby matorral or chaparral), both environments includes different kinds of wetlands with its own biodiversity, and also the continental shelf over the Pacific Ocean. Central Chile harbors most of the Chilean endemics.

To get a proper image of the birds inhabiting this area, is ideal to spend some days visiting the three biogeographical zones. To make it easier we identified partial circuits (day by day), trying to always offer the widest vision of the ornithofauna.

We invite you to know our three circuits in Central Chile, including all of Central Chile, Andes and Humboldt Current; all designed to discover in detail this unique and relevant diversity.
